Kathryn Jones has built her career on being of service to others. After multiple years in client-centered mental health services where she passionately facilitated psychoeducational group sessions, provided guidance in moments of crisis, and engaged in organizational development she re-imagined what service to others could look like. Stepping out of her direct client-facing role, Kathryn began to explore how technology supported individuals, organizations, and communities.
Kathryn’s career in software development is highly informed by her deeper understanding of human behavior. In her transition from a career in client-centered mental health services to one in context-centered software-development, she has focused on how engagement with technology can resonate messages and create opportunities for reflective exploration. Takoda’s mission of addressing the addiction crisis through technology has given Kathryn an opportunity to blend her past, present, and future.
In her free time Kathryn enjoys hiking with her dog, Totoro, kickboxing, and discovering new places.
