Flora Cohen is a licensed social worker and PhD student at Washington University in St. Louis. Flora’s extensive experience with families impacted by severe mental illness and substance abuse in New York, Indonesia, and Uganda has led her to intervention research that incorporates local culture and perspectives. Flora’s work focuses on empowering communities to engage in their own recovery through various resources, including technology. She is passionate about developing and implementing accessible mental health and recovery services to vulnerable populations. In her free time Flora enjoys exploring unique corners of the world.
